Children and teachers in some Government schools stay in school without any sanitation facility for more than 6 hours from 9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. This is the shocking truth in several Government schools under Project 511. Under Operation Sanitation, Project 511 is constructing toilet blocks for girls and boys separately with water connection. This program was funded by Rajiv Vidya Mission (previously Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan) upto 80 % of the project cost and 20% was funded by the donors of Project 511. In schools where RVM funds are not available, toilet blocks are constructed with 100% funding from donors.
