Under this program, a Teaching Learning Material kit is provided to government primary schools under Project 511. It consists of a Science kit, models of human body parts, a Mathematics kit and Social science charts and globe. The Teaching learning material kit is designed based on the needs expressed by Government primary schools.

The main objective of this program is to supplement the teaching efforts to make it more effective and to improve the learning abilities of the children. It is important that children develop thinking and reasoning abilities along with mathematical skills in primary school which will help build a good foundation for high school education.

As a pilot program, Teaching Learning Material was provided to 10 Government schools in January 2011. The positive feedback received from these schools and the lack of such material in our primary schools has made this one of the Competency Building programs under Project 511. The target for the year 2011-12 is to provide teaching learning material to every primary school under Project 511.
